As horse ownership was well established in Ballymun a need arose within the community, prompted by the Control of Horses Act, to provide facilities for horse and animal care. BACA was established by the local community, supported by philanthropic organisations and Fingal County Council, with this specific aim in mind. CSA were appointed as architects for the development. A compact design was developed providing stables, paddocks and supporting facilities which provided a secure and community orientated facility.
